Expert Timing describe themselves as Bubblegrunge Power Pop and who are we to disagree? Expert Timing from Orlando, Florida is comprised of husband/wife duo vocalist/guitarist Jeff and vocalist/bassist Katrina Snyder, as well as drummer Gibran Colbert. Their brand of music is infectious and fun and feels like a summery day, even when heading into serious lyrical territory. But beware, it also packs a punch and absolutely refuses to leave your head.

“Whichever Whenever” is the follow up to their 2018 LP, Glare. The songs are a little bit tighter and a little more sugary and aren’t afraid to tackle heavy subjects such as consent. If Gwen Stefani of No Doubt were still into punk rock, this would be a band she would love. For fans of Weezer, The Rentals, The Beths, and Camp Cope.

Mock up may vary in color from finished product.

lyrics

Try to sleep but I’m too wired
I can’t relax and ease my mind
Oh I’m so tired of feeling anxious
When can I just live my life
Everything is upside down
The ground beneath my feet is not what it
Seems I’m feeling upside down
The gravity is pulling me
My head is like a garden. I try to plant the perfect seeds
But I’ve been filling up my head with things I shouldn’t say
Now I’ve been buried in the weeds
Everything is upside down
The ground beneath my feet is not what it
Seems I’m feeling upside down
The gravity is killing me
Pulling little pieces of the day out of my hair
My brain is working harder but my heart is clueless
Overreacting I’ve been staying up too late
And I’ve been waking up too early running through the possibilities
Gravity is swallowing me
